“热带气旋及其年际变化对南海初级生产力的影响”项目启动

中科院知识创新工程重要方向项目“热带气旋及其年际变化对南海初级生产力的影响”项目启动会近日在广东从化召开。
会议由项目首席科学家南海海洋所唐丹玲研究员与科研计划处共同召集。南海海洋所王东晓副所长，谢强所长助理，中国气象局广州热带海洋气象研究所万齐林所长，中科院广州分院院省合作协调委员会刘民义副主任，广东省科技厅社发处王玉龙副处长等出席。来自南海海洋所、中国水产科学院、广东省海洋与渔业局、广东外语外贸大学和香港中文大学的近50名专家学者参加。
唐丹玲主持会议，王东晓致辞。唐丹玲介绍了项目宗旨和任务；项目子课题负责人陈桂英、赵辉、潘刚、高永利等分别作了相关研究报告；美国伍兹霍尔海洋研究所著名海洋学家黄瑞新教授作了“台风的海气作用的动力机制和特征”研究报告，为项目提供了非常好的研究铺垫；南海水产所邱永松研究员作了“河口径流量海洋渔业资源影响”的特邀报告；谢强转达了中科院资源局领导对该项目的关注，希望项目真正实现学科交叉融合，取得创新性成果。项目和启动会得到了中国科学院有关部门的关注和支持。
本次会议加强了子课题间的沟通与合作，促进项目团队进一步凝炼目标、集中优势科研力量、重点攻克研究难点，同时为项目实施执行提供了有力的技术和物质保障。

Project ‘Influences of tropical cyclone and its
interannual variability on the marine primary production
in the South China Sea’ started up

The start-up meeting of the project ‘Influences of
tropical cyclone and its interannual variability on the
marine primary production in the South China Sea’
supported by the Knowledge Innovation Programme of the
Chinese Academy of Sciences was held in Conghua,
Guangdong in 14th May 2009. The meeting was convened by
the project PI Dr. Danling Tang and the Scientific
Research and Planning Department of the South China Sea
Institute of Oceanology, CAS. Over 50 experts, scholars
and provincial officials from different organizations
including the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Guangdong Science and Technology Department, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, and
Institute of Tropical and Marine Meteorology, CMA, Guangzhou, participated in
the meeting.
The meeting was presided over by Dr. Danling Tang.
Deputy Director of SCSIO, Dr. Dongxiao Wang gave the
congratulatory remarks. The sub-project principals Chen
Guiying, Zhao Hui, Pan Gang, and Gao Yongli gave a
speech respectively in relation to their own current
research progress. Prof. Huang Ruinxin from the renowned
Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution gave an invited
report titled ‘Dynamic mechanism and characteristics of
typhoon’s air-sea interaction’; Dr. Qiu Yongsong gave
the invited talk on relations between estuary runoff and
fishery resources. Dr. Xie Qiang forwarded the high
attention to the project from the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
The meeting strengthened the communications and
cooperations among the project members, set out goals
for the following research, pointed out difficulties to
be overcome, and at the same time provided technical and
material guarantee for the project.
